For this reason, the European Association of Automobilists (AEA) has identified the 270 most dangerous points on Spanish roads in a report based on the Medium Danger Index (MPI) recorded over the five-year period from 2018 to 2022. These points exceed the national average by a factor of ten. In the Valencia region, however, there are up to ten sections with such a high MPI.

Where are these dangerous points located?

The next dangerous section is km 12 of the N-325, with an MPI of 16:1. The N-340, Spain’s longest national road, concentrates the other three dangerous sections, particularly at km 697, 706, and 730, with MPI values of 122.9, 87.4, and 89.8, respectively.

Which road sections are the most dangerous in Castellón?
In the province of Castellón, the N-340 has two dangerous sections, at km 948 and 996, with mean danger indices of 112.6 and 85.5, respectively.

In addition, there are two more dangerous points on the N-234 (Sagunto-Burgos) at kilometers 24 and 30, with MPI values of 333.3 and 230, respectively. Finally, the N-232 has a risk point at km 64, with an MPI of 156.3 for the period 2018-2022.

In particular, kilometers 252 and 255 recorded an MPI of 1626 for the period 2018-2022, which means they exceed the national average by 198 times.
