A cyclist was killed on Thursday, and three other cyclists were seriously injured after being struck by a TIB bus in Pollença. The accident occurred when the transport vehicle ran over the athletes riding on the road, according to SAMU 061.
Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene to care for the injured. Three of the cyclists suffered serious injuries from multiple trauma and were taken to Son Espases Hospital.
Another cyclist had less serious injuries but suffered a hip fracture, which required transport to Inca Hospital. Two other athletes and a passenger on the bus were also taken to Muro Hospital with minor injuries.
