The National Police have arrested four people suspected of fatally stabbing another man during a brawl in the Latina district of Madrid. The incident occurred early Sunday morning.

Among those arrested are a man, two women, and a minor, all of Spanish nationality. They were intercepted in a van, one of whom had bloodstains on his clothes, police sources told EFE.

The victim, who was taken to the hospital along with another injured person, was unable to recover from his stab wounds, according to Madrid Police Headquarters.

After receiving an alert, officers stopped a van containing the four detainees. One of them had traces of blood on his clothes. During the arrest, officers also found a pistol, a magazine, more than 14,000 euros, a large knife, and a machete.

The VI. The Homicide Unit of the Madrid Police Headquarters has taken over the investigation into the events that occurred around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday.

Initial investigations indicate that this may have been a conflict between clans, which is why police sources have ruled out any connection between the incident and violent youth gangs.
