Corrupt: Hazte Oír unfurls a canvas with a picture of Pedro Sánchez in front of Congress

This morning, the Hazte Oír organization erected a large screen in front of the Chamber of Deputies featuring a doctored image of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, accompanied by the word “Corrupt” in large letters.

On Monday, around 11:00 a.m., several people unfurled the screen from the top of the building at 44 Carrera de San Jerónimo, at the corner of Calle Santa Catalina, to take advantage of the work being done on the facade. Several National Police teams then arrived at the scene to investigate the incident.

The large banner, claimed by Hazte Oír on its social media channels, depicts Sánchez’s face in an aesthetic inspired by the character Vito Corleone from the film saga “The Godfather.” It features a burnt red rose on his suit and a stern expression.

Next to the image are various references to recent corruption cases surrounding the PSOE, including the explicitly mentioned “Koldo/Ábalos case,” with the letters crossed out and the reference “PSOE case.” The “Begoña case,” “Hermano case,” “Pedro Sánchez case,” and “Hydrocarbons case” are also mentioned. A QR code with the web address elcapo.org is also visible, which is activated by the platform promoting the campaign.

“With the screen in front of Congress, Hazte Oír is giving voice to the feelings of millions of Spaniards that Sánchez never wanted to see,” the organization assured on its social media.

This action complements other similar impact campaigns that Hazte Oír has conducted in recent years. One of the most famous is the 2017 bus with the slogan “Boys have penises, girls have vulvas,” which was shut down in several cities for violating fundamental rights.
