A two-year-old girl died Saturday afternoon after drowning in a private swimming pool in Finestrat, according to the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU).
The alert was raised around 12:40 p.m. According to the information, the girl’s relatives initiated basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) during the emergency services’ response, guided by a doctor from the intensive care unit over the phone.
A SAMU unit was dispatched to the scene, and the medical team began advanced resuscitation upon arrival. Despite all efforts, however, the cardiac arrest could not be reversed, and the medical team confirmed the little girl’s death.
