Students from Valencia create an anti-bullying rap song that will give you goosebumps

María Galán shares on her social media a song against bullying that she worked on with students at the IES San Vicente Ferrer in Valencia. This release coincides with World Anti-Bullying Day.

Galán is an educational criminologist and school mediator responsible for preventing antisocial behavior among minors. In a brief interview, she explains that this song was created “as a response to an extremely urgent reality that we have recently observed with the increase in suicides in our country.” In this way, an activity at the school where she works becomes a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of this problem.

For the project, they created an authentic rap song that depicts the trajectory of bullying from beginning to end. “Although there are already songs on this topic, none of them reflect the profound reality of what is actually happening. This song is exactly that: an expression of hope, a justification, and a denunciation of the lack of interventions and effective measures.”

The song was produced by Hugo Olivera, while rapper Pablo Tapia wrote the original lyrics. María Galán was the creative creator of the idea. The video clip was shot in collaboration with the mediation team at the IES San Vicente Ferrer in Valencia. Teacher Carlos Caurín, considered a pioneer of school mediation at the national level, also appears in the video. Galán describes him as “an outstanding professional who has contributed significantly to the spread of mediation throughout the country.”
