A 19-year-old Italian tourist of Turkish origin was killed on Sunday when she fell from the fourth floor of her hotel in the town of Sant Antoni de Portmany on the island of Ibiza.
According to investigative sources, the young woman was in a hurry and tried to get from a common area of the hotel to her room via the balcony.
The woman’s body was discovered by a hotel employee at around 09:00 a.m.
The Guardia Civil has taken over the investigation and is working to clarify the background to this incident.
Investigators are waiting for the results of the autopsy and do not rule out that the young woman may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reports Radio Ibiza Ser.
