A daring robbery rocked the Parquesur shopping center in Leganés, a suburb of Madrid, this morning. A group of thieves drove a stolen Audi into the shopping arcade around 11 AM and plundered a jewelry store. The incident caused panic and stunned reactions among the customers present.
Lightning-Fast Heist: How the Perpetrators Operated
The events unfolded with alarming speed. A high-end vehicle, later identified as a stolen Audi, breached one of the shopping center’s entrances and made its way through the mall’s passage. The target was a jewelry store. Eyewitnesses reported how one of the occupants, with a covered face and gloves, jumped out of the car and smashed the display cases of the jewelry store with sledgehammers.
Within less than three minutes, the perpetrators snatched an undetermined amount of high-value jewelry, including watches, chains, and rings. A video capturing the incident shows entire counters being emptied while stunned customers shouted “Villains!” After the lightning-fast operation, the thieves fled the scene in the same vehicle.

Antes tanto robos como alunizajes intentaban hacerlos de noche, ahora ante esta sensación de impunidad ya los hacen a plena luz del día.

Moments of Fear and Swift Escape
The perpetrators’ action, described as a “ram-raid,” led to moments of tension. Cleaners and security personnel, as well as numerous customers, witnessed the car speeding through the center’s aisles. Although fortunately no injuries were reported, the loud crash sound and the car’s rapid movement sparked fears that it could be an attack. The scenes were marked by nervousness and shock.
Investigations Underway: Who is Behind the Robbery?
The National Police immediately launched investigations and are currently collecting all available information. The fact that the perpetrators acted with covered faces and gloves complicates identification, but the shopping center’s surveillance cameras are being intensively analyzed. It is not ruled out that this could be a specialized gang already responsible for similar “ram-raids” in other shopping centers.
Parquesur management has confirmed that the shopping center has returned to normal operations, but the affected area remains cordoned off to allow for forensic investigation and assessment of material and security damage. Security within the shopping center is currently being reviewed and, if necessary, adjusted to prevent future incidents.
