The incident occurred around 1:00 PM. Immediately after the collapse, a large contingent of rescue workers was mobilized, including firefighters from the Principality’s Emergency Service (SEPA), members of 112, and Guardia Civil patrols. Initial reports indicated several missing persons believed to be trapped under the rubble.
On site, rescue services confirmed the grim toll of three dead and two seriously injured. Comprehensive Medical Care and Ongoing Investigations
Rescue services have activated a comprehensive medical care unit, including two mobile intensive care units, an ambulance for basic life support, a primary care team, and an advanced medical assistance post. In addition, the multifunctional helicopter with a canine rescue unit and the rescue group, as well as a logistical support vehicle, were deployed to assist in the search and rescue operations.
The Guardia Civil has launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the tragic collapse. The investigation is expected to shed light on the factors that led to this devastating accident.
