A dramatic incident shook the municipality of Sant Antoni de Portmany in Ibiza on Tuesday evening: A nine-year-old boy fell from the third floor of a building and is in serious condition with a head trauma.
The incident occurred around 8:20 PM on Vedranell Street. Emergency services were immediately alerted after news of the child’s fall was received. When medical personnel arrived, the minor was unconscious.
An ambulance was immediately dispatched to stabilize the child on site before he was promptly transported to the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Polyclinic. The Guardia Civil also provided swift assistance, issuing a “green alert” to allow the ambulance priority and rapid passage to the hospital. The circumstances leading to this tragic fall are currently under investigation.
